Through our School Workshop programme, the Ulster-Scots Agency offers a variety of free workshops to both primary and post-primary pupils. These sessions cover aspects of Ulster-Scots history, culture and language and can be delivered to individual classes, year groups or school assemblies. We are also able to adapt the lessons to suit teachers' needs or to complement current topic work.
The workshops are interactive, with pupils encouraged to participate, ask questions, play games and have a go at speaking the hamely tongue.
In addition to the above, the Agency can provide support for other Ulster-Scots projects. This may include music tuition, Scottish Country Dance, or Highland Dance; as well as activities in schools which relate to experiences around European Day of Languages or other cultural awareness projects.
