The course, offered free of charge, is accredited by the Open College Network NI.
Level 1: Introduction to Ulster-Scots covers:
- Ulster-Scots Identity
- Overview of the Plantation of Ulster
- Talkin with Ulster-Scots (Language) and
- Ulster-Scots and Researching Family History.
There are three available options to study:
Option 1 (In-person)
When: Thursday 23rd and 30th September; Thursday 7th and 14th October
Time: 11.00-13.00
Where: On-site at Discover Ulster-Scots Centre, 1-9 Victoria Street, Belfast, BT1 3GA
Option 2 (Online)
When: Thursday 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th November
Time: 19.00-21.30
Where: Zoom
Option 3 (for North American audiences)
When: Saturday 15th and 29th November
Time: 16.00-19.00 (GMT)
Where: Zoom.
