The funding will support tuition in Ulster-Scots music including bagpipes, flute, snare drum, accordion, fife and Lambeg, as well as Highland and Scottish Country dancing.
Delivered by bands and community groups based throughout Northern Ireland and the Border counties, the projects will run between September 2024 and May 2025, and will support over 2,500 participants to develop their music and dance skills. Over 1,000 of these learners will be undertaking tuition for the first time.
The Ulster-Scots Music and Dance Tuition Programme offers support for both non-accredited and accredited tuition.
