We support School and Community-Based Learning
The Ulster-Scots Agency has been given the legislative remit of the "promotion of greater awareness and use of Ullans and of Ulster-Scots... both within Northern Ireland and throughout the island".
Ullans is another name for the Ulster-Scots language and in addition to this, our remit extends to Ulster-Scots cultural issues. With this in mind, we work to equip individuals and groups with the knowledge and skills to be able to engage with the Ulster-Scots language, heritage and culture.
Through directly-delivered and grant-funded learning initiatives, our activities fall into two main areas – Schools-Based Learning and Community-Based Learning.
