SEFF was founded on 15 August 1998 to provide practical and emotional support in South Fermanagh for many individuals who had been through traumatic experiences cause by terrorism. Over the last 20 years, SEFF's development as a provider of services for victims/survivors has evolved, and the organisation has expanded from its original geographical base.
SEFF now has staff located across Northern Ireland providing the core support needed by victims and survivors of terrorism in the Northern Ireland context. In recent years, additional focus has been given to developing the case of need for victims/survivors based in Great Britain and Republic of Ireland, ensuring they also have access to support services like their Northern Ireland counterparts.
