Derry & Raphoe Action seek to build the confidence and capacity of the Ulster-Scots community in West Tyrone. This includes stimulating community awareness of Ulster-Scots traditions, encouraging young people to participate in Ulster-Scots traditions, and fully engaging with public bodies to mainstream Ulster-Scots traditions.
They seek to enhance the contribution that Ulster-Scots language and heritage can make towards developing cultural identity, creating respect for cultural diversity, and encouraging social cohesion; and strive to ensure the Ulster-Scots community in West Tyrone can enjoy and express its rich Ulster-Scots culture and identity.
